"I feel outraged by the increasing powers of the WTO and especially the
GATS (General Agreement on Trade in Services) negotiations. These are just about to happen and are going to make the free trade negotiations even more weighted in favour of the rich
multinationals and against the poor of the developing world. The obscene
disparity between the wealth of the rich world and the majority of the
poor world is really hitting home and people are feeling really unhappy
about it. They are also concerned about the onslaught on the environment which is going on and which the WTO has some power to regulate or reduce."
