Yeshaya & Chaya

Chayah White, age 5 & Yeshaya Lomotey, age 6

Michael Lomotey (Yeshaya’s father and Chayah’s uncle)
World Development Movement

"I’ve come along today because I’m appalled at the state of unfair trade
and inequity in the world. For instance the GNP in the west is US$
20,000-30,000 a year. But in sub-saharan Africa where my dad is from it
is about US$500 a year. These injustices offend and appal me. The GATS (General Agreement on Trade in Services) agreement planned by the WTO and big business will privatise public services like health and education so it takes it out of the public hand and it becomes profit before people and that’s offensive."
